| Join us in July in Zanesville, Ohio,
the pottery capitol of the world, for our annual gathering of pottery
collectors and dealers to show, sell and buy American Art Pottery. The
Ramada (formally the Holiday Inn), at exit 160, off I-70 five miles east
of Zanesville, is the host hotel and the center of activity, which spills
over to the nearby Best Western and the Airwood lot. Collectors and dealers
set up in their rooms as early as the weekend before the official activities
to show and sell pottery. Meet other collectors, dealers and authors of
pottery books and learn more about your favorite pottery. Share your love
of pottery with other enthusiasts and meet other people excited about
pottery who can become lifelong friends. Attend major pottery auctions.
And at the end of the week, go to the World’s Largest Pottery Show with
over 75 dealers from around the country.

The 2008 Pottery Lovers Auction is poised to be one of the best ever! Greg Belhorn of Belhorn Auction Services, LLC has been selected as the official auctioneer for 2008. With this change, a number of new and exciting components will be added to the auction. Most importantly will be live audio and video broadcast of the auction and internet bidding on eBay Live. This will open the auction and our event to hundreds of pottery buyers across the nation. Additionally, Greg has been promoting the auction and week’s events to his pottery buyers since August and is already expecting a great auction with high attendance in person and via absentee, phone and internet bidding. As you are probably aware, in past years our auctions have set record-breaking prices with items such as Roseville Della Robbia, a Weller gnome figural, a 30 inch Weller Eocean vase, other rare Weller figurals, outstanding examples of Rookwood, experimental Roseville pieces, Weller Scenic Hudson Tiles, and many other unusual pieces of American Art Pottery. As a result of the new partnership with Greg and the addition of internet bidding, a full-color catalog and extensive marketing we hope to see new records set in 2008. Please start thinking now about consigning quality pieces to the auction where you will have a large, enthusiastic audience chock full of pottery collectors and dealers. This year's auction will again be held
on Thursday, July 17th starting at 5:00 PM with a preview the same day
starting at 3:00 PM. The consignment deadline for inclusion in both
the printed and internet catalogs is June 1, 2008. If you are interested
in consigning pottery in this year’s auction, please contact Greg
Belhorn by phone at (614) 921-9441 or email at auctions@belhorn.com.
Additional details are available at www.belhorn.com. |

Show & Tell and Mixer Party - Your Most Bizarre The Social event of the week. The Mixer Party is an excuse to get together as a group to see old friends, talk about our finds over the past year, enjoy refreshments and to show off some of our favorite pots. Each year show and tell has a theme. In past years some of the themes have been pottery with farm scenes, animals, birds, and water themes to name a few. This year's theme is "Your Most Bizarre ". Bring in and show off your most bizarre piece of pottery. That really strange and odd but special pot that will have everyone scratching their head and saying how or why did they do that. We know there are some truly great pottery items out there. This would be the time and place to show them off. Check out photos from past years Show
& Tell. Our theme last year was "Your Prized Possession"
and in 2006 it was "Outstanding flowers from the Zanesville potteries"
